MISSION STATEMENT
Through the power of a large-scale and high-profile international event and content platform, the Forces in Business Awards supports military service leavers in their transition to the wider workforce with five core objectives.
1. Identifying and increasing visibility of role models; veterans who have transitioned successfully into second careers, and showcasing the military-gained skills and values that have enabled their business success.
2. Promoting the transferable skills servicemen and women gain in the military, the value they can provide to the economy and a positive narrative of veterans as assets to employers across all sectors.
3. Encouraging employers to support the transition of servicemen and women into successful second careers by highlighting the strong synergies between military values and business excellence, and raising awareness of the pool of talented individuals who leave the Armed Forces each year.
4. Bringing together top employers and key stakeholders from across the business and military landscapes to advance dialogue and share best practice around the value of ex-forces employment and training schemes, ultimately forming a productive bridge between the military and business communities.
5. Fundraising for military charities that support servicemen and women, service leavers, veterans and their families. 10% of ticket sales are donated to our official charity partners, SSAFA and the Invictus Games Foundation, and we also run silent auctions at our events of which all proceeds go to the charities.
